Man charged after card payment machine stolen

A man has been charged after a card payment device was stolen in Stoke-on-Trent. 

Gareth Gibson, 34, from Sneyd Green, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with theft from a shop and common assault. 

It comes after a card payment machine was stolen from a shop in Smallthorne on Friday 29 August. 

We worked quickly to investigate the incident as part of our ongoing #problemsolvingpolicing patrols in Staffordshire. 

Gibson appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre yesterday (Monday 1 September).
